JacksonHoleLive: Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real

(Published by Planet JH Weekly)Photo: BSC PhotographyJust a glance at this year’s JacksonHoleLive’s five-show concert series gets the blood pumping—Old Crow Medicine Show, Steve Earle and The Dukes, Robert Walter’s 20th Congress, Jeff Austin & Friends, and kicking it all off this Saturday, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real. Shows that would normally be priced in the $20-$60 range are coming to us courtesy of Snake River Brewing and a satchel full of forty other local supporting businesses. For locals that haven’t caught Willie Nelson’s twenty-four year old offspring, Lukas—a ball of fiery stage energy, Hendrix-esque wailing, prolific, occasionally shirtless, and the reedy familiarity of the family’s nasally vocal tone—it’s safe to say you are living in a cave up Death Canyon. He’s made more than a half dozen stops in Teton County over the last few years, establishing a timeline that has enabled some to enjoy his progression up close.Happening in conjunction with this concert is the 2nd Annual Outerlocal Summer Games on Snow King Mountain, featuring running, bouldering, mountain biking, paragliding and much more. OuterLocal.com. JacksonHoleLive presents Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real with guests The Flannel Attractions, 4:30 p.m. on Saturday at Snow King Ball Field. Free, all-ages.
