Isaac Hayden brings The Collective
When a hometown boy leaves for the big city to follow his musical muse—in this case Nashville—a small town can’t help but root with fists pumping. Jackson has rallied for Isaac Hayden for good reason. A fella with a big, soulful voice was one of Jackson’s most prolific writers during his formative time here. This annual summertime visit, Hayden will perform with The Collective—a nine-member a cappella group of Nashville singer-songwriters that each have solo careers in Music City. In 2011, the ensemble appeared on season three of NBC’s a cappella reality show, The Sing-Off, which starred judges Ben Folds, Sara Bareilles and Boyz II Men’s Shawn Stockman. Grand Teton Music Festival presents The Collective, 8 p.m. Wednesday at Walk Festival Hall in Teton Village. $35-$45/adult, $10/student. GTMF.org, 733-1128.
