The Goods: Knotty Pine Summer Lineup, Revolver

The 16th Annual God Bless America Fest on July 4 (free) will bring a fat lineup to the outdoor stage—perhaps the most adventurous collection of acts to hit the Knotty’s stage in a single day. The 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. affair will feature Katchafire, B-Side Players, Mike Dillon Band, The Lonesome Heroes, Gary Newcomb Trio, and Greg Creamer with Ted Wells. Beyond that, B-Side Players will hang around to play again on July 5 ($8), Grammy-winning reggae artist Yami Bolo throws down July 26 ($12/$15), a cast of New Orleans all-stars are billed as NOLA Live! July 28 ($8), Mississippi’s Brandon Taylor and The Tenants for August 4 ($5), local bluegrass ripsters Random Canyon Growlers on August 9 ($5), Americana band Great American Taxi is August 16 ($12), and a grand finale with James McMurtry and The Gourds on Sept. 21. Let it revolveLocal rock band, Revolver, has gone through many transitions through the years, yet always keeping a family thread intact. The current lineup features Tim Ryan on lead guitar/vocals, Sean Ryan on rhythm guitar/vocals, bassist Johnny Brown, and Joe Ryan on drums/vocals. The bread and butter of their repertoire covers the classic artists that just about everyone loves—The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Tom Petty, and Neil Young, while showcasing some original material alongside 90s radio hits from Sublime and The Red Hot Chili Peppers.
