Targhee Fest, Bluegrass Fest, Panic, Music On Main & Deer Tick!!
Targhee Fest has moved to one week later (July 19-21) and just announced a batch of familiar characters and some awesome newbies: Alabama Shakes, Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers, Los Lobos, John Hiatt and the Combo, JJ Grey and Mofro, Wood Brothers, Courtyard Hounds, Son Volt, Dave Alvin, Anders Osborne, Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds, Holly Williams, and the Hooligans.As for Targhee Bluegrass Fest (August 9-11), acts include The Infamous Stringdusters, Trampled By Turtles, Elephant Revival, Greensky Bluegrass, Foghorn Stringband, Guy Clark, Run Boy Run, Sam Bush Band, Nashville Bluegrass Band, Della Mae and Hayes Carll.Jim Stanford at JH Underground just announced that Widespread Panic will be returning to Targhee for a 3-night run as well, July 4-6.According to Jambase.com, Austin alt-country icon Ray Wylie Hubbard is confirmed for Music on Main in Victor for Aug. 8.Deer Tick was also just confirmed for Sunday March 31 at the Pink Garter Theatre - the same weekend as Mountain Fest at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort featuring O.A.R. (Sat. March 30, Free).And don't forget about the 8th Annual Grand Targhee Music Camp, which piggy-backs Bluegrass Fest. Instructors include Hayes Carll (songwriting), Stuart Duncan (fiddle), Della Mae (band-in-residence), Mike Compton (mandolin), and many more.
