All parties are 21+ unless noted.Sporting a multi-story atrium view, Snow King Resort will host the 4th Annual NYE Lobby Party with alt-country/Americana band Screen Door Porch. B-Side Players + The Knotty Pine = A slammin’ dance party. Incorporating the sounds of Cuba, Jamaica, Mexico and Brazil with the funk, rock, jazz and hip-hop rhythms, the B-Side Players are aptly described as “War meets Lenny Kravitz,” with the energy of Michael Franti. Tasteful and true, this septet is the real deal. B-Side Players perform at 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday, at the Knotty Pine in Victor. Motown and R&B cover band Soul Impressions will re-surface to play what is sure to be a rowdy Town Square Tavern. The show starts at 10 p.m., Saturday. Jamband connoisseurs could realistically take in the live stream of Phish from Madison Square Garden beforehand (5:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Center for the Arts, $10). Events and Entertainment, revelers of thick beats will be moved by deejays Discofari, 11OOLA (pronounced whoo-la), Mr. Whipple and Cut la Whut. An added bonus to this show is a shuttle to Q from The Kitchen, Rendezvous Bistro, and Osteria. Showtime is 9:30 p.m., Saturday. The band was even mentioned in Outside Magazine’s coverage of NYE events. Showtime is 10 p.m., Saturday. Cover TBD. 733-4407.Over the hill in Victor, Idaho, across the street from the Knotty Pine, you’ll find Seattle-based band, The Staxx Brothers. Described as “hard ass soul” mixed with hip-hop and rock, Jambase.com declared its sophomore effort, We Are The Blaxstonz, one of the best records of 2009. Showtime is 9:30 p.m., Friday ($10) and Saturday ($15), at The Timberline Bar. Gritty rock ‘n’ roll, Southern style ala The Black Crowes is what they’ll bring to Grand Targhee Resort’s Trap Bar for two nights, and Town Square Tavern for a night. Showtime is 10 p.m., Thursday ($10) at Town Square Tavern, and 10 p.m., Friday ($5) and Saturday ($15), at The Trap. A free shuttle will transfer you to and from Driggs.
