A band in full Bluhm + Screen Door Porch

(A portion of this piece was published by Planet JH Weekly)Nicki BluhmScreen Door Porch (by David Swift)Even before Nicki Bluhm & the Gramblers became an overnight YouTube sensation courtesy of their “van sessions” of covers like Hall and Oates’ "I Can't Go For That," it was obvious that Bluhm had the vocal goods necessary to guide a country-rock band into mainstream. Even Hall and Oates took notice, which tweeted the video to their friends. Bluhm & the Gramblers are on the brink of releasing their first album as the current unit (scheduled for Aug. 27), which is a follow-up to Driftwood. The last time Screen Door Porch played Music on Main, in 2011, we had one album under our belts and an intense thunderstorm broke loose, leaving a couple hundred hard core revelers. Music on Main presents Nicki Bluhm & the Gramblers with Screen Door Porch (quartet) at 6 p.m. Thursday at Victor City Park. Free, all-ages. TetonValleyFoundation.org.
