Three Hearted Recording
Located in Hoback, Wyoming ("Hoback Nation") just south of Jackson Hole, Three Hearted Recording offers professional grade recording, audio production and mixing, and a session musician resource in a mountainside cabin setting.
Founded by songwriter/multi-instrumentalist/producer/engineer Aaron Davis, Three Hearted Recording maintains the quality and integrity of a more costly studio, offering a relaxed and inspired atmosphere that harvests great performances. Aaron’s experiences over the course of his own nine studio albums have all been different in scope, though none more impressionable than Screen Door Porch‘s studio sessions working with top-notch engineers and musicians in Austin.
Three Hearted Recording aims to cultivate that same cozy and supportive vibe for artists to thrive in their performances. Whether you are a full band making an album or a solo act looking to add textures to your songs utilizing a regional network of studio players, there are a few ways to approach the recording process.
Thanks to recent upgrades, there’s extended capacity for capturing more robust, latency-free, tracking with other musicians. Top notch preamps from Apogee and Great River Electronics (truly adds depth to any instrument), a vintage style 1176 outboard compressor, and a super charged Mac are among the hardware upgrades.
What’s in a name?
The studio is located between three legendary rivers (the Snake, the Hoback, and the Greys), the vortex of three mountain ranges (Wyoming Range, Gros Ventre River Range, Tetons), and nestled in Bridger-Teton National Forest where the nearest road to the southeast is 70 miles. Hike, fish or ski in between sessions! I also try to keep in mind that it’s a Three Hearted process — the engineer/producer’s heart, the artist’s heart, and the third heart of enigmatic truth that only music can unmask.
